Brent "Bhanks11" Hanks has moved back into second position in Card Player's online player of the year (OPOY) competition after a brief stay in third.
Hanks fell victim to GhettoFabolous's excellent run of form, which saw him leap frog into the runner-up after making 760 points over a ten-day period at the end of April.
But a 36-point finish on Sunday took the internet star back above his rival by a margin of eight and helped close down the gap between him and leader Brian "SNo0oWMAN" Hawkins to 268.
Hanks is not the only player to have been making a comeback over the last few days.
Isaac "westmenloAA" Baron scored for the first time in almost three months as he seeks to retain the title he won in 2008.
Baron had appeared to be concentrating more on live tournaments recently, making the final table at the European Poker Tour Grand final last month.
But in the last couple of weeks he has been back in the zone online and now lies in 15th.
