District Court finds two guilty of trading in-game items for cash and dishes out hefty fines

One video poker player in Canada woke up nearly $200,000 richer this morning after hitting the progressive jackpot at Slotland.com. Slotland’s jackpot is won, on average, every six or eight weeks. With the last win of $100,000 being won a little while back, many saw the windfall as overdue.

The lucky Canadian won the biggest Slotland progressive jackpot ever: $195,083 playing Treasure Box. The game has proved to be one of the most popular slots on the site, with JAMKAT2 winning a $113,418 progressive jackpot last year. Prior to this springtime windfall, the biggest jackpot ever won at Slotland was $179,166 won by TOPNOTCHED playing the Golden 8 slot machine last May.

Most of the games are also available on mobile phones and PDAs where they are tied into the same progressive jackpot.
