Antonius & ‘Ziigmund’ vs. Jani ‘KObyTAPOUT’ Vilmunen & Sami ‘LarsLuzak’ Kelpuro heads-up contest planned

Get four high-stakes Finnish poker players, some drink, and golf – what do you get? A team heads-up battle, that’s what. According to Patrik Antonius’ blog, the four Finnish online stars have decided it’s time to settle some bragging rights.
Antonius was in France playing golf with Sahamies (better known to many as ‘Ziigmund’) and Vilmunen when the latter decided he was the best poker player in the group. The claim was backed up with further protestations that he never loses at heads-up Pot Limit Omaha. Sahamies challenged him on the spot to a match, Antonius wanted in on the action too, and the idea was born from there.
A fourth player, Sami Kelpuro, agreed to take part on the battle, and the teams will be Patrik & Ilari versus Sami & Jani. The matches are due to be played on Martins Poker, with each player having 200 big blinds with Antonius playing LarsLuzak at No Limit Hold’em and the other two playing Pot Limit Omaha. If a deciding match is required, Antonius will take on Vilmunen at Pot Limit Omaha.
No sums of money have been mentioned explicitly, but we can imagine it will at be least six figures considering the levels these guys play at online. I think I am going to take some of the Bluff Europe team out for a round of golf now – toodle pip!
