Launching two new versions of the bestbetting odds comparison site

As Hollywood digested one of the biggest upsets in Academy Award history, online sportsbooks were amongst the first to congratulate ‘Crash’ in usurping the overwhelming favourite in the Best Picture category, ‘Brokeback Mountain’.
Having won the Golden Globe for Best Picture (Drama) and the equally respected BAFTA Award for Best Film, ‘Brokeback Mountain’ was considered a shoo-in to duplicate its successes at Tinseltown’s night of nights. However, ‘Crash’ managed to crash Brokeback’s Oscar party as audible gasps were heard in the audience when Jack Nicholson announced the winner.
The surprise win of ‘Crash’ took some sting out of the night for the sportsbooks who otherwise would have been looking at a bleak evening with several favourites including Rachel Weisz (Best Supporting Actress) and the irrepressible Reese Witherspoon (Best Actress) taking home Oscars.
