The Fox Poker Club in London has signed an agreement with leading online poker site PKR.com that will see the pair offer a series of high-quality live dealer-dealt tournaments featuring more affordable buy-ins.
Alderney-licensed PKR.com debuted in August of 2006 and has managed to accumulate over 3.75 million registered players while giving away just short of three million dollars in freerolls.
The three-dimensional online poker room stated that its London Calling tournament series will run for 28 days beginning on October 11 and feature 57 events with the majority of buy-ins ranging from £20 to £100. PKR.com revealed that no-limit hold'em will be well represented alongside games of heads-up, pot-limit Omaha and pot-limit Omaha eight in addition to a two-day HORSE event.
London Calling is to conclude on November 7 with a £300 buy-in main event while a leaderboard running throughout the festival will see players earn points based on their finishing positions. The online poker room stated that participants will be able to convert their points into starting stacks for use during a special freeroll event set to be held at PKR.com.
“It's been our ambition to put on an event like this for some time and we're delighted that London now has the perfect venue in which to do so,” said Simon Prodger, Marketing Director for PKR.com.
“With regular buy-ins ranging from £20, London Calling is for the huge number of people who'd love to play a high-quality dealer dealt tournament but find most poker tours and festivals are too high for their bankroll.”
