Several internet gaming portals have joined forces to create a new service for online blackjack players.
In collaboration with Royal Vegas and Platinum Play, Fortune Lounge has launched the International Blackjack League as a multi-player interface for fans of the casino card game.
According to Fortune Lounge, playing blackjack through the League will result in a style of play that more closely resembles the conditions found in a land-based casino.
Instead of betting against the house only, players take on other participants in real time and can therefore maximise their winnings.
There service also contains features such as Elimination - taking the player with the smallest chip stack out of the game in selected rounds – and Secret Bet, which Fortune Lounge claims can add "an edge of intrigue" to normal blackjack tournaments.
A live leaderboard will also be included on which players can check their progress.
Based in the UK, Fortune Lounge operates ten online casinos using software from Microgaming.
