not my forum- i don't give a rats ass particularly - I just hate hit and run spamming fkwits - and lazy mods who don't delete the spam, or delete the urls.

Alex, I take offence at the way you have commented on this issue.
I particularly take offence to being labeled lazy and shit just because something hasn't been cleaned up over the last what 48 hours?
You make it sound like this job is paid and we should all be clocking in at 8am, I'm sorry but I for one have a life outside of the computer screen.
And why, for heavens sake can't you make a constructive comment like "there is too much spam on the forums, could someone clear it up" rather than you obtuse, offensive comment.
For my part, I delete offensive/spam posts on a daily basis as and when I come across it, and do not feel I am inadequate in this job.
If you don't give a 'rat's ass' then your wording reflects a stronger feeling than you present.
Oh, and just for you I've been around with my e-dyson so we should look pretty ship shape at least for the next hour or two.

well moderators are supposed to sort this stuff out - and leaving spam for up to 48 hrs encourages more, which means i have to sift thru it etc. how many mods are there on here? they manage to move threads okay but don't even sanitise them by removing links or just deleting them.. so if my criticism of the mods was unjustified sorry.

I just thought that since a forum has a critical mass of mods (or should have) that things would be taken care of. If a forum keeps getting full of spam, people get pissed off and leave.. it's bad for business. I was not jibing at any individual moderator when i said "your mods are shit" - i just meant that the mods as a single entity, are not doing the job effectively enough for my tastes - so for that I apologise sincerely if you took it personally.

as for not being paid - hmm.. I had assumed Dale & co would sling you a bottle of JD or whatever your tipple is, at xmas - but that's none of my beeswax - the upside of this is that - at least I know where I can buy some tramadol if i need it

I've recently raised the point in the mods forum about whether we actually need a spam forum as I personally prefer to delete entire threads and accounts than shovel shit from one place to another.
You are perfectly correct in that some spam moves from a discussion forum to the spam forum and the links remain live. I never move anything there, I just delete it. The links should be removed, it even says that in the spam forum description but this isn't happening. I'll raise this with the rest of the mods.

In all fairness though a couple of threads have been up for at least 72 hours.

Not criticizing the mods, just not good that potentially dangerous things are left up for unsuspecting donk PC users to click on.
