Perhaps eSports might consider a Champions League of forum posters, perhaps that will interest them.
Quite a few of us played in the first freerolls, which turned out to be for nothing - it was just to see what team we got put in - and then we got put in teams with people we didn't know, didn't speak English, etc. They didn't even say what we were playing for, just vague mentions of "prize money". The whole thing was a shambles.

We all want to play poker, just most of us aren't willing to go through all the hassle you did when there's plenty of other games going on that state what the prize is and don't require you to be phoned up and repeatedly emailed by "Ze Germans"

Matt, we`re all set for the finals.
Teams have always been 5 players, and for the 1st time ever, we actually have the quandary of which of the 6 we have get to play.

Walty and Citrus, yes the beginning was shambolic, and it certainly looks like, even though twice as many German teams as any other country were accomodated, some UK teams were used to dump even more of them into it.
Also, we never had control of anything until near the end of the UK leg, all decisions team related seemed to be taken by some faceless organisers.
But we stuck at it, and railed at them to give us a fair crack at this.
Slowly, it started to pay off, and even though we were short-handed through most of the qualifiers, we played the system as best we could, making sure of qualification from each phase, rather than attempting to win outright at each turn.

Could'nt have put it better myself Breadfan ,as a member of the Poker.co.uk team I know the technical difficulties the team suffered ,I myself couldnt play the first 10 games or so,I had to watch myself get blinded out because it wouldnt let me join the game. But we persevered and made it to the final. So congrats to the team, and i'm proud to be part of it

I have noticed that there seems to be another layer after this Matt, but to be honest, all the focus has been making this particular final. Once we`ve got that out of the way, then I guess we can take stock of what happens next, but for this week only, we`re busy earining our bonuses.

Hi Kev, yes, you did us proud once we got you back from that dreaded Poker Room limbo.
Let`s have fun tonight, and good luck with that live league too.

    Mike.

    Hi teaulc, thanks.
Yes, we`re still waiting for the payout for the UK League.
Been promised "soon" for ages, but Poker Room seem to be sitting on it.
That Week 15 fiasco mucked us up too, we had points deducted when someone complained that our sitout was awarded points (correctly seeing as his chips were higher), and bizarrely, they reversed the points.
As it happns, it did not affect our overall position, but left a nasty taste in the mouth all the same.

    Oops,
not the brightest start we`ve made.
    1 good result, a 3rd from razorpesh, and unfortunately, 8th, 9th, 10th and 10th.
Bit of work to do on Sunday.
Rough estimate we`re about 7th or 8th overall after the 1st leg, still much better money than 10th, time to regroup, and aim to move up in the 2nd Leg.

    I can't see it

Does it also say what you need to do win anything? I.e how many games you need to play, etc. If it does, it didn't when I checked back at the start...

If they're still making mistakes at week 15, getting points wrong and with-holding prize payments, I'm pretty happy with my decision not to join!

(Obviously if you win loads of money I won't be - so you better win it! Good luck)
