Reccomend me a tournament

Hi guys,

I play a fair amount of live poker but have never really been a big fan of online poker, mainly due to being easily distracted but i really want to give it a good go.

Can anyone reccomend any good free rolls/cheap tournaments i can use to get into the swing of things?

Ive heard that on some football sites (eg the Man Utd homepage) there may be links to poker rooms and if you join via those links then there are quite large freerolls with tiny fields (eg they give away $100 and have only about 20 players).

Ive played a few freerolls on WilliamHill which are crazy but quite fun. I think they happen in the evenings and often get around 2500 players with a top prize of $15.

These forums also hold weekly freerolls. You need to have posted x amount of times to play in them but they seem to have a good prizepot/player ratio.

I'd suggest though you just plonk £20 into an account and play the multi table $1-5 games. That way you might actually get some poker in rather than some insane donkfest.

all the uk poker rags have monthly freerolls full of hoardes of donkeys.. (inside edge, bluff, pokerplayer mag)...

usually big fields, but SOO easy to chip up, and they offer fat prizes(eg 1k gukpt package for 1st, next 9 get 109$ satty seats etc.)

lots of value.

other than that join a few uk gambling /poker forums and join in the freerolls and leagues - there's always massive overlays and values due to the fact that most of the players are shockingly bad and don't take any steps to improve their game...

I've just started getting in to online poker too... I find that the freerolls are pretty good, but if you are willing to spend 1 or 2 dollars you can get the same amount of winnings without having to play thousands of players.

Generally play on bet365 and CD Poker.
