The London Pub Poker Open is Truly an event for all pub poker players to come together, play poker, meet new players, discuss the merits or demerits of the pub games they normally play in as well as competing for The Title of Londons Best Pub Poker Player and take home the spoils on Offer including The Huge Trophy and TV.

The event is being generously sponsored by www.pub-casino.co.uk the online gaming division of Punch Taverns, put together by blapo.co.uk and run on the day by Roy and his team at Loose Cannon.

Registration Opens 12 noon on Saturday 19th April with a 1pm start

The First 100 to register on the day will be treated to some nice extras to encourage you to register early.

*20 Euros (approx £15) Paid into a poker A/c No strings from pub-casino.co.uk. This is equivalent to the initial buy in !!!!!!!!!!!!

*A Limited edition Poker Card Guard (worth £10)

*Plus The first 100 registering on the day - will get to take part in the worlds first large scale trial of the new electronic poker scratchcard - prizes for which include Tournament Vouchers and a PS3 for the overall winner of the trial.

Buy In £15 +2 for 2500 Chips - optionally you may have either one re-buy or add on during the first hour for an additional £10.

You need to become a member of Loose Cannon in order to play in this tournament because Loose Cannon is a Private members Club.

Membership costs Just £5 for 3 months and then £3 per subsequent visit thereafter.

FAQ:

Q: Is This a Blapo Members only Event ?
A: No it is open to anyone who declares they have ever played Pub Poker, regardless of where you normallyplay pub poker.

Q: Can I buy Tickets in Advance?
A: Unfortunately not, but we are offering some great incentives for those that register early ie The first 100 get £15 in a poker ac, a Card Guard and get to participate in the poker scratch card game with the chance of winning a PS3

Q: Why does Registration end 10 mins before the start time of 1pm?
A: With the anticipated numbers, if everyone turned up 5 mins before the start it would actually take longer to get everyone seated and we would start at 5pm LOL.

Imagine if everyone turned up to catch a plane 2 mins before departure, it would be chaos so please think of a poker tournament in the same way, Registration starts at 12, Gates close at 12.50.

Q: Why is it not a freezeout ?
A: Because this is a one off event - we felt it would be good to offer a lifeline for victims of Bad Beats plus it will make the pot more juicy for the winners.

Q: How many will get paid ?
A: 10% of the field plus 1 is the norm - this will be confirmed on the day by Roy your TD

Q: The Buy in is £15 + 2 how much of those £15's go in the pot - All of Them - plus all of the £10 for re-buys/add ons.

Q: Why are the Poker Mags coming?
A: To cover the event, so look brush your hair on the day

Just a few questions:

Can i join the club at the same time i register? (if i bring the form with me)
For ID, would a birth certificate be acceptable? Only photo ID i have is an Oyster card (only turned 18 a fortnight ago)

Hi,
Why not pop down to Loose Cannon this Friday and register with them - they have a £15 tourney. As for ID requirements, sorry but you will need to contact them direct as we are only acting as promoters and have no say at the venue re ID.

Dunno about this venue but most venues take you as a guest for 48 hours I think and then your membership is valid thereafter.
