Hi, im a regular online player looking for some live tournament action and noticed that at my local casino in bristol there is the £100 tournament tonight. (im a complete newbie to casinos!)
Just a few quesitons if anyones experienced the £100 tournament or any of the £20,£30 tournaments at this casino; What is the structure like? how longs it generally last? Number of entrants? High standard? cheers |

The last few tourneys have not attracted too many entries and the standard is truly SHOCKING. But have fun its easy money if your half decent |

The £100 night will be over by midnight/1am-ish. The £30 night is usually over by 2am/3am latest. £100 night has 10,000 starting chips with 100/200 blinds. £30 night has 5,000 starting chips with 100/200 blinds (ridiculous imo).

Ok, thanks for the info...
tournament structure sounds a bit dodgy and fast, might give it a try if its easy money tho but with it being that fast would definetly need cards on your side. Are there any other casinos or card clubs in bristol with better structures?, i quite enjoy a good deepstack long slog. Or any casinos with cash games, if so what stakes? cheers agen |

The game ended up being £30 (rather than the advertised £100 Freezeout) with one rebuy or top-up allowed. I came 2nd/18 for £335, so not too bad

When it got to heads up the prizes should have been £305 for 2nd and £430 for 1st. My opponent had aprox 100k chips, I had around 40k. He asked if we should do a deal as he was 'really tired' and wanted to go home - me £335, him £400. I said "no, I think I can still win" to which he sighed and was visibly displeased - huffing etc. Anyway, I played another couple of hands and skillfully (lol) got down to 25k chips with him on 115k-ish. The blinds at this point were 2k, 4k. So, I had 6x the bb - my only move being all-in. I then asked if the deal still stood, he said "yeah", so I accepted and signed the sheet for 2nd place.
