Default Regions Cup-September 08-

Regions Cup is now going to be in September the date i have pencilled in will be Saturday/Sunday 13th/14th i would prefer Saturday because of the Manchester team coming down.

Teams will be:

Manchester A'
Masnchester B'
Bristol-Team Captain Tom S-Feilding
Bath-Louise Cuthbertson
Cheltenham
Yate & Chipping Sodbury-Captain's Duffy/Lisa Mumford
Gloucester-Captain Dish Patel
AllStar Team-Captain Mike Chapman

This year each Region will appoint a Team Captain who will be given all the relevant paperwork, and will be assigned to pick the team and arrange for t-shirts.

All teams MUST be assigned with their 8 players and 2 reserves by the 1st September.

This year there will be a trophy up for grabs and winning medals for the team.

I would also like that players pay in £10 to create a prize fund for the top two teams, but only if the majority of players wish to do this.

Players will have just over a month to create there team....theAllstar team will have a pick of one player per region to play in the team this year.

Good Luck....

Oooh, how exciting!

If you are after a team captain (hey, i'd be guaranteed a play then!) for Bristol then give me a shout.

And if you pick someone else then I hope they pick me.

So can anyone be in the teams now, or is it still based on the original qualification criteria?

From the sounds of it the captains appoint the teams.

The qualification phase last year was so long ago now that I think it's probably for the best that it gets scrapped. I think using one month's results isn't the fairest system as some people take breaks and others go on luckbox runs.

As long as the captains dont just pick their mates (and Im sure the captains will be appointed with this in mind) then it'll be good.

I've played a few games in Bath but not for ages, more than happy to play in a Liverpool shirt though if you need players !
