Good luck to all those going out to Vegas. I'll keep tabs via the live reporting.

Default Trip Report Day-1

Just a very quick report on a tired and exhausting day one!

Got into Vegas 1:30pm after a 10 hour flight...flight was good plenty of films and managed to get a exit seat!..lots of faces on the flight; Vicky coren and John duffy that come to mind!

HOT....HOT ...no other words to describe it 106 in the shade, and i wasn't standing in the shade when waiting for a taxi..i swear i almost passed out!!

Met up with 'Tankman' and 'Spider' at Planet Hollywood to play the $80 buy in, 4K chips plus 500; levels 20 minutes with a reasonable structure 25/50 50/100 100/200 200/400 300/600 400/800 etc
Only 49 played we all went deep i think Tankman was 18th i was 14th and Spider 11th, (top 6 were paid) my exit hand was 77 vs AK

We all left around 11pm to go up to the flamingo cash room and play the $1/2, both Kris Evans(spider) and Dan 'Tankman' Bradbury got seats before me as i was polishing of the biggest chicken bagette you had ever seen!

I was finally seated at a 9 player table but not with Kris or Dan, in fact we all sat at different tables i bought in for $150 ....only 3 noteable hands.

5 6 suited in a raised pot, and flop 4 7 8...managed to get all my chips in an double up.

QQ on a flop of 9 10 Q hit a full house on the turn....

Finally JJ SB vs BB i limped flop of A J 7 turn 4 he had A 4 ......

...left the flamingo after about 90mins with $524 ...Dan bought in for £160 and when i left he was already up to around $650...Kris though went bust.

Meeting Dan at Caesars today for the 'Mega Stack' game, $235 buyin and 7.5K in chips with 50 minutes levels...

will try and and update tomorrow....

Talking Day 2 Trip Report..

When i leave the flamingo it was getting on for 1:00am i have been awake now for around 25 hours and can't wait to catch up on some sleep....i set the alarm clock for around 9ish as i am worried i am going to sleep for 12 hours....so how in the feck am i fully wake at 5:30am!!...i can't seem to to fall back to sleep so i open up the laptop and get on with doing a little work.

I wander over to Caesars Palace to meet Dan at 10 o'clock..the tourney is a $235 buyin 7.5k starting stack and 50 minute blind levels, 590 entries...the cardroom is just amazing...

I tell myself to just play tight with these kind of blind levels i don't need to get crazy, just keep the pots small i expect the standard to be quite high...so why do i ignore all my own advice and get crazy on a pair of jacks!! and lose 1500 n chips

I have to say i wasn't the only person to get crazy..i am on the BB and the button raises 2K with no one in the pot ... the blinds are 25/50 wtf?? it feels like i am at a White Lion saturday night game lol!

just to confirm that i wasn't dreaming all this...guy limps in early position and sb raises to 400 limper instant shoves for 7k and SB tanks for ever with KK...he finally calls and limper shows A9 lol...spikes an ace on the river

I last until 190th with absolute no cards at all ...my stack is at 5K and i never go over 10K, we are on 400/800 level, average stack is around 21K, someone shoves in early position i look down and see A Js and shove only for the guy in the BB to call as well AJ vs 10/10 Vs AK flop J 4 7 turn 9 river K .....

Dan is out 10 minutes after me ...and its just gone 6:30 so we decide to wander down to the MGM and play some $1/2 NL cash games, the table is very lively with 3 brit guys having a laugh and a joke, one of the guys won the Gala main event in Bristol this past week i can't remember his name but small world huh!

I buyin for $200 ...about 4 hands in i wake up with QQ on the button and decide to limp in a 4 way pot BB also limps with AK ...don't ask me how but all the chips are in the pot with a rag flop and turn, he has a boat load of outs but misses and i double up...few hands later i get paid with quad tens but no high hand pay out at the MGM which is rather sick, i leave around 11pm to meet Dan at the flamingo..i cashout with $450

Flamingo is always a good game and i sit at a table away from Dan who i see is already up to around $600 from a $200 buyin...

I sit card dead for around and hour and chase a flush draw in a very bad play ...but i decide i wanted to gamble!

I limp 5 way pot and BB pops its for another $10 i have J 7 hearts and get priced in.. flop is 2 hearts, BB makes it $15 and folds around to me and i flat call...turn gives the BB 2 pair and opens with $40 ....normally this is an instant fold but i flat call ...heart on the river and shocked to see him shove i called ...

I leave the flamingo at 2pm buyin $200 and i cashout for $410...Dan is still playing and getting crazy drunk ...would liked to have stayed for entertainment value he has around $700 and playing well!

Today i am going back to Caesars palace to play in the same event ..$235 insted of the Binions $150 that i was going to play ...im running late so i have to run.

Will try and write an update tomorrow..
