Broadway Casino 'Results'

South West and Manchester Leagues came together at the Broadway Casino this past Saturday to battle it out for that £2,000 Prize Fund.

Congratulations to Steve found and Howard Thompson who did a deal for the final two places, Steve Found not only took home £700 for his effort but my £10 bounty as well!

Steve a recent winner at the Broadway Casino is off to Vegas next week to play in event 52

Great finish for Neil Grima who won the last monthly final at Cheltenham, finished with a solid 4th place, and very unlucky not to be chip leader when he pushed all in with AJ only to be called with J 8 for a 550K pot and more than half the chips in play! Howard had J 8 Suited spades and hit a flop of 3 spades and the nutz!

Penny Hancock also reach her second final table at the Broadway, Catherine Bull 'Bristol league' winner finished in a very respectful 8th place.

Well played to all the Manchester players Howard Thompson for his joint first place finish, Phil Armstrong 3rd place, and Ian Grainger in 5th.

A message to all poker players who play in the Bristol League.

STEVE FOUND MUST BE STOPPED AT ALL COSTS - HE IS WINNING (sorry getting lucky) ON TOO MANY OCCASIONS.

No doubt he will return from Vegas shortly and have great delight in explaining to all how he won the World Series.

Oh, as yes I am jealous, bitter and twisted.

I must consol myself in the knowledge that he drives a bright yellow car.

Hi I'm Alex, the only one of the 8 players to reach the final table at the Broadway Casino that didn't get a mention in Mikes round up! Cheers Mike (hehe)

For completeness and my own self-indulgence, I finished 7th at the Broadway and finished 3rd in the previous monthly final. Went out all-in against big blinds pocket Aces.

Overall a very enjoyable day, thanks to everyone that was there for making it so!

It was an enjoyable day or weekend for us that stayed from Friday till Sunday. It would be nice for the finals to be there again and £10 was cheap for the food and dealers .
