Hi Mike,
I just wanted to ask if you could clear up an issue re: the qualifying rules for Birmingham for the Manchester players. For our usual monthly finals the qualifiers are the top 60, then the next 10 players are reserves and may play if any of the top 60 don't turn up. We also have the top 5 averages who qualify. Throughout the whole of May whilst the competition was running, the Leaderboard said that the usual rules apply - ie top 60, next 10 as reserves and top 5 averages. However, once the Champions Invite was posted we were informed that this month only the top 60 and the averages would be able to play in Birmingham. I have spoken to a number of the players about this and all understood the normal rules to apply. Nothing was mentioned or put on the website to say this was not the case until after the end of the month. I have a vested interest in this as I finished in 65th place and so, under normal circumstances , I could expect to play in the final. I do feel it is somewhat unfair not to have let the players know that the rules were different this month and in particular to keep the leaderboard with the usual rules posted throughout the month. As I suspect several players from Manchester won't be able to attend the final in Birmingham, I wondered if the reserves could get a chance to play as the rule change was not communicated until after the end of the qualifying month. Yours in anticipation..... Rachel |

I had not realised that the monthly leaderboard was still showing 10 reserves and on that basis i will allow positions 61-70 to be reserves for the final in Birmingham
