Looks like we've got lots of interest for this event.
I spoke to a few people last night at the Shakespeare, and, with the people who have expressed an interest on this thread as well, it looks like we could get at least 20 players from Manchester alone.
I'm just waiting to hear from Tom to see how many are interested in taking part from the Southwest, and we'll take it from there.
Anyone else who is interested in taking part either pm me or leave your name on this thread.

You tend to find a lot of people will say yes when you ask them, following through with it is a another matter!

What will the process be if we have more than ten?

Also since we are down as the Gambling.co.uk forum, you need to include the gambling.co.uk crew as well, there was some interest from non lpl players in the main poker forum.

I wonder if they will allow us to submit a sub-forum? (LPL league forum)

I was thinking about an lpl forum team as well, but was going to ask Tom to include it on the apat forum list. That way we could at least get two teams.
As for who plays, lets get an idea of numbers first and we'll take it from there. We've got a couple of months to pick teams, and as you say people can change their minds between now and July.

Just to let everyone know what is happening with this, i've had an email from Des at APAT asking us to confirm whether we are putting a team forward by the 22nd of June and to have a team list by the 29th of June, so we need to move pretty quick now.
The players who have expressed an interest so far are;
Myself
Tony Curran
Kev Curran
Rob Swindells
Ian Burke
Dave
H
Walt
Liam AA
Liam 2
Mike 89 off
Dean D Mac
Firelady

There are also a few people from the southwest who have expressed an interest, so i will speak to Tom Fielding to see if they are still interested in putting any players up.
Can everyone confirm if they are still interested and add there full names to the thread. If anyone else is interested then add your name to this thread.
As i entered the forum onto the entry list, Des is asking if i will act as captain. If there are no objections and everyone is happy, then i am willing to act as captain. If anyone else wants the job, put your name forward and we'll put it to a vote.

The structure for this has been agreed as this;

The APAT UK Forum Championship will be fully dealer dealt and played over two days at the G Casino in Blackpool, on July 19th & 20th.

The entry fee per player will be £50 and no registration fee will be charged. All of the entry fees will be returned in prize money and there will be an added GUKPT seat for the individual tournament winner; in addition to prize money for the top three finishing forums. The owner of the winning forum will win an additional £1,000 prize, the Forum Championship Cup and the right to call their community the premier poker playing forum in the UK.

The event will be run to the normal APAT tournament structure, with each player receiving 10,000 chips, on a 40 minute clock. The final fifty players will earn ranking points towards the Forum Championship. Teams will be made up of ten players.
