Poker.co.uk Live Poker League held their Annivesary Final this past Sunday, and with a massive field of 111 players over fourteen tables, it would be the largest turnout to date for a regional Final.
Myself and Matt Dale also included in this field with a bounty on each of us to the lucky players who would knock us out of the Tourney. Big Thanks to Alex who ran the tournament which considering the size of the field ran very smoothly. Its worth mentioning Dean ' ' Clune finally ran into a hand when attempting his all-in move on the very first hand, when his A5 ran into Kris Evans AK, and Dean was promptly sent packing to the bar.First Bounty of the day went to Kris Evans from Gloucester, when my top pair couldn't hold up against a better kicker...Well played Kris shame you won't be able to play in the league anymore as you are now BANNED!!!! ![]() Matt Dale was having far more success and was up with the early chip leaders throughout the competition and a well deserved place at the Final Table. Final Table Chip Counts: Seat_1 Matt Dale 156K Seat_2 Steve Found 87K Seat_3 Will Lee 149K Seat_4 Andy Scott 100k Seat_5 Ian Brooking 40K Seat_6 Jason Gregus 230K Seat_7 Louise Cuthbertson 19K Seat_8 Dave Woodward 125K Seat_9 Lisa Mumford 139K Bubble finally burst when Matt Dale raising with AJ into the big Blind of Ian Brooking with A9 and no help on the flop sent Ian to the rails ![]() 8th Place finisher was Louise Cuthbertson from Bath who was at her 3rd Final table this year, Matt Dale raising to 60K (BB20K) Louise in the BB was already allin for 19K, Matt held AJ vs 67 Flop J K Q 6 2 ![]() Will Lee from Bath could consider himself a little unlucky when making moves found himself running into bigger hands, and this was to be the case again when Will raised in early position only to have Dave Woodward re-raise and Lisa Mumford Push all-in! Will Lee J J Dave Woodward A Q Lisa Mumford KK Flop 6 10 9 Turn 10 River 2 saw Lisa take down a massive pot and Will out in 7th Place ![]() Jason Gregus was one of three local players from Dursley to make the Final Table, and even though he started as chip leader, Gus was out in 6th Place when his all-in move with 6 5 was called by fellow Dursley player Dave Woodward holding K Q with a K on the turn sent Gus to the rail. ![]() Gus hearing that Matt was donating his winnings to a local charity, made a very generous offer of donating his winnings to Matts chosen charity, and not only that Gus also provided a Indian takeaway to all remaining players and spectators in the wee hours of the morning..top bloke! Updated Chip Counts Matt Dale_305K Steve Found_210K Andy Scott_160K Dave Woodward_ 155K Lisa Mumford_220K With the entertainment from the table now gone (Gus), players were starting to realise that top prize of £1,000 was in reaching distance and as midnight came and went players were not risking their stacks calling with pocket pairs, and the all-in......fold fest began, Blinds had been capped on the final table when play started at 10:30, it was now 2 hours later and blinds were now going up forcing players to take a more active roll! Spectators miss the Gus factor from the table! ![]() 5th Player out was Dave Woodward when a wrong word seemed to jinx Dave out of the tourney. Dave all-in with 8 9 Matt in the big blind had to call with 9 3 totally dominated hand. Flop 8 ...*Dave now says don't put runner runner 3 out dealer **...next card 3 followed by a ..you guessed it 3! no help on the turn or river Dave Woodward out in 5th ![]() Matts great run in the tournament came to an abrupt end when in the SB pushed all-in only to have a caller in the BB Matt held A 9 and leading into the flop against Steve 'Found the flop' holding J Q Flop 7 10 4 Matt still in front Turn Q River Q giving Steve the Bounty and sending Matt to the rails. ![]() Also worth mentioning that money won by Matt in todays tournament is being donated to his chosen charity. Three players left, Steve 'Found the flop' from Bristol, Andy Scott from Dursley and Lisa Mumford from Yate Lisa was the 3rd place finisher when her QJ came up against KQ of Andy Scott and no help on the Flop saw Lisa out in 3rd. Lisa now holds the higgest finisher of any female in the league for the Regional Finals congrats i am sure it won't be to long before we will be crowning a very first female winner! ![]() Heads up battle between Steve and Andy didn't last to long when Steve found a A4 vs A7 Andy scott flop saw a glimmer of hope with a 4 but a 7 on the turn would see Andy Scott a fellow Dursley player take first prize! ![]() ![]() Thanks to all the players who turned up and made it a very enjoyable day... |

Well done to all on the Final Table - tough luck Trev for bubbling.
Steve is on a bit of a rampage at the minute! Shame he couldn't bring the trophy back to Bristol - we don't like letting it out of our hands for long. |
