Attention Denton players

Denton, the culture capital of Manchester, has birthed some great venues over the past year or so, with the Jolly set to hold this month's Manchester final. The Red Lion was definitely a 'relaxed' venue and i'm sure some of you had a few late nights there... With a game starting at the Lowes Arms on Wednesday, and the Toll Point proving to be a top quality venue, Denton has firmly marked its place on the poker map of Britain.

However, an important note to all those getting involved. Poker is a game, be careful not to take it too seriously. Limping into a pot with pocket rockets can easily result in you getting a serious crack from someone holding 7-2 off-suit in the big blind. And yes, some people WILL call you down with jack-shit and WILL hit runner runner runner runner to flush you out on the river. Unfortunately this is all part of the game. If you are playing good poker against bad players, providing you stick to your A-game, you will undoubtedly show profit over a period of time. Just stick with it, and don't let it get you down.

Heres a clue: "I never raise anymore, that way i can always get off the hand if i dont like the flop, and it hasn't cost me much. And anyway, whats the point in telling the table you have a good hand?"
