June FINALS DAY!

Stotties hosted the June Finals in Weston-super-mare this past Sunday.



A small presentation to the Monthly league winners before the the start of the Main Event.

Bristol and the Clyde arms were looking to take the sheild home for a third consective time, but with last months winner Tom Stuart-Fielding being knocked out early into the tourney it looked like we would see a new name and maybe a new region on the sheild this month.

First player out and short stack Chad Sherwood from Bath was leading until the river but hit the bubble in 9th place.

Ben Sanders from Bath was next player out, Ben made a move with the short stack his 4-2 up against J-K and a K on the turn sealed Bens fate.


Val Cole our only female player to grace the Final Table pushed allin with A 10 Will Lee called holding the Doyle brunson hand of 10-2 a 10 on the turn saw Val out in 7th place!


Will Lee knocked out the only Gloucester player at the Final table 'Kris Evans' with a straight
Kris goes out in a very respectful 6th place.


Matt Salvage is two for two in reaching the Final table but a loose call when Matt thought Dean was being the chip bully - ran into a monster hand of QQ Matt was knocked out in 5th place and kicking himself all the way back to Bristol

4th place finisher and this months Bath league winner John Marlow was unlucky to hit trip 7's and found himself out to Dean Gavins A K flush


Another Bath player falls in Third place when a family pot Saw Dean Gavin hit a Jack Flush with 4 clubs on the board.
Mark Dudley is out in 3rd place.

Dean Gavin a previous winner of the monthly Finals was up against Will Lee out of the now famous Filo's pub in Bath who have a reputation for churning out regular winners!

Heads up between these two players was outstanding, no one was in a rush to win it and both players were seeing alot of flops.

Final hand: will with the 10 J and Dean held KJ

A preflop allin by short stack Will and called by Dean saw a flop of A4Q 4 8 no improvement to Will's hand saw Dean crowned for the second time as Weston-Super-Mare finally get to put their name on the winners sheild!
