Default Badbeat.com Vegas League

As some of you might of noticed we have an additional sponsor, who will be involved in the Badbeat.com Vegas League.
Due to Christmas and the New Year we are slightly behind in getting all the info up, but should be done by the end of the week.

Badbeat.com will sponsor 2 seats to the WSOP 2007 the package is worth $2,500 for each seat.
The league will be over 3 months 'January to end of March', and 1 seat will be allocated to the South West Region and 1 seat to the Manchester Region which means a regional final.

Details of qualification can be found at the web site more details will follow soon.

Job's a good 'un, Mike...one question though:

"Any player who gains entry into the main event, but does not meet the terms of qualification will be removed from that 3 month qualification period, and will not be able to play in the main event."

Are the ominous sounding 'terms of qualification' only having to signup to Badbeat (and finishing in the top 60)? I might be being a thicko and completely missed something, mind you...

We require players to register with Badbeat.com to meet the terms of qualification, players who do not have internet access can go to the local internet cafe or get a friend to register them.

Is this new WSOP thingy for a seat in the same event as the Didcot finalists are playing for or another $1500 event?

i.e., is there a possibility that one of us could win seats in two WSOP events? Presumably if they are for the same event then you can only enter it once.

Default Badbeat

just signed up for the Badbeat thing.

Could they ask a few more questions tho? I'm surprised they didn't want my inside leg measurement.

I think I may have just signed away my life.

Wait till you get the deluge of email they send. enough to take up a full time job emptying inboxes.

Seriously though, it should be a different $1500 event. there were quite few of them at the 2006 wsop.

Even more serious, "As if i'm gonna qualify for 2!!!??"

If that does happen and we get a player who has won 2 seats (not really going to happen) we would think he would donate it to the organizer so he could play!

On a more serious note i have heard that there may only be 1 $1,500 event this year, the schedule should of been available before christmas but yet to see it... it looks like the $1,500 event will be the first week in June!

I read somewhere that they are thinking of changing the WSOP schedule. They appear to have created a beastie they can't control.

I would have hoped that the $1500 tourney for which we are playing would be an event just before the main event then, should one of our winners make decent money they could stick around and play in the big one too.

Obviously this is all wishful thinking, the way I've played of late, I can't see me bothering Virgin Atlantic just yet.

I fully agree with you Mick but i have a feeling the $1,500 might be the first event on the calender!
