Just spent some time searching the net about Didcot.
Can anyone tell me if there is anything appealing in Didcot cos I couldn't find anything. Seems the only place in England without a hotel too. At least the pubs are plentiful(?) but is there one that anyone could recommend cos again I couldn't find one? At least the power station has some obscure attraction for some people. Sorry to be negative but I am willing to change my initial view point if there are hidden charms there. Still 200+ round trip and a couple of nights expense in a hotel is a cheap price to pay to enjoy Didcot. Amene-le moi |

Now, it seems you have missed the obvious upside from your link there Ginger.
It says at the bottom: " In Ladygrove, there is a place you can fish" Apparently, it's called The Towers Country Club and in January all the mancunian minnows swim downstream where they find themselves out of their depth and end up served up on a platter. Me? I'm bringing my rod and plenty of bait....... Errrr..... but not in a gay way. Obviously. (ahem) Dan B |

Anyone else up for watching Didcot Town FC vs Winchester City on the Saturday afternoon? I'm sure you're all fully aware that they're currently embroiled in a championship challenge in the Southern League Division One South & West, so it should be a stonker.
I like small towns and non-league football, what can I say? |
