I've just seen the episode tonight (watched the repeat). Very interesting stuff.

Seeing as Duncan Bannantyne seemed genuinely disappointed to lose out to the other two Dragon's, I wonder if he'd be interested in hearing about the Live Poker League? With his support and knowledge of the gaming industry, not to mention brewery contacts etc, I'm sure he could push it to new levels.

Though, I doubt if he would directly compete with his fellow Dragon's on a project they snapped up? Or would he?...

As for Admins comment, i agree duncan has a great experiance in casinos etc.... somewhere that could host finals days!! what a missed opportunity....

As for the nuts poker league i base my opinion on the first impression and i dont like their web site, LPL rocks!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah!! their website is very poor.

What are the chances of a pub in Chippenham joining LPL!!

That's interesting. As for recommending I'll have to think about that and conduct some more research!

Relevant to this thread, and to save reading about all the other Dragon's Den problems it seems that LPL may well be better off without them!

"Dragon's Con"

STEVE BELLIS - Poker league (£65K)

THREE months after Steve won £65,000 to help start his National poker league business, he says the Dragons' contract he was sent is so complicated he hasn't yet signed it.

Steve, 44, agreed the deal with judges Deborah and Theo in the 3rd series, who offered the lump sum of cash for 40 per cent of his business. He said:

"After the show my business went bonkers, I'm getting 500 emails a day. I was sent a contract by the Dragons but it's so complicated I haven't looked at it. The show's been fantastic for me but I don't think it's a very good environment for doing a business deal. I think very few deals go through."
