Hello All.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who played at the Railway Tavern on Sunday. Was a great success considering it was the first game ever held there. We're looking forward to next week - let's get the maximum amount of 48 players this time round! Martin Last edited by LPL_Mike : 5th September 2006 at 03:51 PM. |

It was a great nite and a very good turnout...the Railway Tavern without doubt is going to be a very popular venue, the organisation and table service ran very smoothly. So its advisable that you turn up early on the next event to guarantee your seat. The Bristol League is going to be tougher then ever to get those 15 automatic seats to the Main Event where you can win those 3 WSOP seats! PS Dont forget the Regions Cup is running this month *Top 16 from the league will meet the other regions in a team based event The winning team will then go to Manchester the following month to meet the top 8 players ![]() |

I couldn't make it on Sunday, but will definately be there for next Sunday.
I've always maintained that the number of people who play at each venue is proportional to how much effort the pub management put into promoting the games. I have played in this league since the very first game 12 months ago. The games that are popular are usually because the owner of the venue enjoys poker and he spreads the word around to his customers. Some of the venues do not even have posters up inside. In the past, we have lost several venues because there are not enough people playing at the games. Last edited by LPL_Mike : 5th September 2006 at 07:48 PM. |

here here..... a great venue for poker and good service, ive been drinking in there for years and never thought poker would be popular there - but i was wrong!
As for the game it was quite good... never seen so many split pots on one table before though - I love split pots argggghhhhh. Anyhow - they all seem like fish so an easy one way ticket to the WSOP |
