FREEROLL Gremlins

About 2 hours before the freeroll my computer died, so I sparked up the wife's PC and downloaded the poker.co.uk software from my website at www.whatpokersite.co.uk. No LPL freeroll was visible so I quizzed the live helpdesk. Sophie informed me that management were aware of the problem, and would email eligible players 2 hours in advance of when the event was to be rescheduled. This information was completely incorrect, or to put it another way, total bulls**t.

So I then spent the next hour replacing the power supply in my own PC. Once back online I decided to visit the forum and see if there was any news. I read the post about having to uninstall and reinstall the software from the live league page. I did that and was then able to see the freeroll was running as scheduled and I had missed it!

If the Poker.co.uk helpdesk staff had been made aware of this little feature of their software, then I would have been able to reinstall the software in time to play the freeroll. I am suitably hacked off, what a load of pants!

Sorry to hear about your problem with the helpdesk. We have made the helpdesk aware of these tournaments, so I don't know why you were given misleading information. I will contact them on my return to work on Tuesday to find out how this happened.

Mike , are you sure you are using the version of the software downloaded from the Live Poker League site? http://www.poker.co.uk/league

The LPL freeroll is only open to people who have downloaded from that link. If you are using another version of the software (e.g. for gambling.co.uk forum games perhaps) then you won't be able to see the freeroll.

The reason for the concern was that i had around 6 or 7 e-mails from people saying that they had downloaded the software from the site but could not see the LPL Freeroll.
I then deleted the software of my pc and re-booted went to my site and downloaded the software and as of 1:30 could not see the freeroll?

Did it only show up at 2:15 and hour before start?, because previous ones you could see throughout the week?

Now i just logged on and see the Freeroll.....so i have no idea why i couldn't see it before.

I use the gambling.co.uk download link and I've been able to see the freeroll for a couple of weeks at least

Very strange. Like trust_me, I've been able to see the freeroll since I put it up at the start of the month. So, not sure why some people couldn't see it this time. The turnout in the end was 33 which isn't too bad.

Hopefully the software suppliers (Boss Media) will bring in password protected rooms soon. That'll make everything a lot easier for all concerned.

Is this months free roll showing up on the site. Usually it is by now but i cant see it anywhere. I've installed uninstalled and re-installed the software from every single link i could find and i still cant get the free roll up. Needless to say i was one of the unfortunate few that missed last months but would be overjoyed at the prospect of participating this month. Just because i won the WSOP 3 times back to back is no reason to deny me this opportunity. I've got 8 starving kids to feed and an alcohol addiction to sustain. This truely is important. Many thanks for your help in this matter.

Hi 6aces. The freeroll isn't actually showing at the moment. Sorry for any confusion - it'll be showing by the end of the week - I'll post again when it is.

Remember if you win the Freeroll you gain automatic entry into the Main Event to be held in January, no worrying trying to get into the top 15 of the south west Region or top 60 in the Manchester Region!

The freeroll is currently listed as a $300 freeroll. This is incorrect - it should be listed as a $1000 dollar freeroll. This'll be fixed on Monday.
