Default What's the feedback on the new blinds?

By "the new blinds" I mean the structure that's been trialed at Filo's in Bath for the last month or so, and was also used (slightly altered) at last month's final. What does everyone who's played with them think? My own view, which seems to be shared by most of the people at Filo's, is that they're a big improvement. They achieve the stated aim, which is to make it much more of a poker game all the way through, rather than just turning into a crapshoot at first chip-up (and even more so at second chip-up), where most of the skill goes out of the window and it's just a matter of picking which hand to all-in with and hoping for the best. Especially if you're on Pete's table

There haven't been any problems with running out of time at Filo's, although the biggest field there has been 20-something, and personally I'd like to see it extended to the other league venues as soon as possible. It's horrible going back to the Assembly or the Crown and Anchor after a Monday game at Filo's and realising you're back to putting a quarter of your original stack in as a big blind. It also avoids the ten-minute delay for the first chip-up, and makes for some entertainingly big stacks of chips in the pots.

I have spoken to Nic and the feedback seems very positive, so i will move it to the Assembly Inn & Crown and Anchor in Bath just to make sure that there are no problems with larger fields.
After two weeks we will then spread it to the rest of the venues if all goes well.
