Found this forum whilst searching for "Bristol Poker". Thought you might like to see it Mike.
I'm with WelshDragon on this. I think what ThomasPancake has done is completely out of order on a vindictive level. <snip> http://www.bristolpoker.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=48 Cheers John Edit: gambler - no personal insults please. Last edited by Gus Mango Fish : 23rd May 2006 at 06:50 PM. |

Oh, just in case anybody wonders what the "Bristol Poker" forum is etc,
The Bristol Poker forum was set up by a poker player "Vent Ace" who thought it would be a good way to set up some a friendly community for people from the Bristol area, to arrange live games, home games, tournies and all sorts. It's slowly getting more members, I've been there from the early days, through the forum we have arranged home games for fun for beginners, and I think some of the guys might have met up in the local casinos etc for a game. Thomas Pancake registered there recently and supported the LPL in a post, but then decided to plug the new league recently on there instead, which was when I found out about it, as I had been away for a few days. Highlight of the forum had to be "Malcolm "The Rock" Harwood" sending me an email of the blue!! Wow! Talk about unexpected! A quiet forum, with 13 (at the time) members from the Bristol area, the only poker related forum i was using at the time, and The Rock sending me a PM through it...talk about gobsmacked. Anyways, roll on June and the new LPL venues etc. (and the world cup of course !) |

Hi WelshDemon,
welcome to the forum By the way, if you're looking for more games in and around Bristol and the South West area, check out the Bristol and South West Poker Group

Hi, yeah I did check out the Bristol and South West Poker Group, unfortunately the stakes prevents me from playing, being quite skint at the moment doesnt help my poker hobby!
However one day Im sure I'll be in a position to play in reasonable stake games instead of 1 dollar tournies on the net and free games at the pub |

I already knew about the thread and didn't want to get involved to be honest. John (Lawson) Just so there is no confusion, seems to like to drop my name in every thread that he writes. (find one thread of mine where i mention him or his league) ![]() Strange though that the fella who seems to like the sound of his own voice and write for England couldnt find the use of his e-mail or phone to let me know of his intentions to leave the league, as far as i know he is still on the payroll In case your reading this John (Lawson) your sacked lol Anyway thats my last word on the subject as we have alot of exciting things happening over the next few months and with the right advertising and new Bristol Pubs onboard we should see some healthy competition in the Bristol area World Cup Special in June is going to see a Bristol Prize fund of £2,000 + other great prizes that we shall be giving away. TOP 8 will get a prize More info coming very shortly.... Last edited by LPL_Mike : 24th May 2006 at 12:56 AM. |
