Leaderboard Champion

Mike, there are rumours that the lovely trophy you have provided in the past to the Leaderboard champion is no longer and is to be replaced by a £250 raffle with the top 10 players in to win some argos vouchers.

While I think the raffle idea is quite good to keep people chasing the top 10 instead of just being happy with a top 70 finish I think there should always be something for the leaderboard winner.

That's if the rumours are true of course.

only a rumour i think but you do need something for the leader board so all their good play is rewarded

I am guessing someone was having a joke with Val who is the runaway leader for the Bristol leader board this month, by telling her that i had done away with the trophy..... so just to put your minds at rest the leader board trophy is not being replaced or taken away

Val will be pleased. I do think the idea of some sort of raffle or maybe a 1 seater tourny for the top 10 is a good idea too. It might stop people getting into the top 70 and then sitting back and waiting for the final and get people fighting for that top 10 finish.

This is something that we are going to start very soon, a raffle for the top 10 in the leader board and give away a $10 or $20 seat for an online competition.

I think I have said this before, I think for every place above 70th you should get an additional 10 chips at the final table, that would encourage eveyone in the league to keep playing until the end
