How about a monthly leaderboard for each venue? With the top 2 or 3 players from each venue invited to the grand final?
This would remove the problem of their being more venues and easier points in Weston. |

I see that there are now a few more Bristol and Bath events, so it looks like the balance has been addressed. Not a complaint, more of an observation and suggestion Keep up the good work Mike. |

Bath will be getting an additional 2 new venues, Bristol will be getting 3 New Venues..Gloucester and Dursley have opted for a couple of new nights i think you will find the areas starting to balance when these venues come on board for June. |

Obviously this will be addressed to a degree for Bath players by next month, but that still leaves other areas heavily disadvantaged. Couldn't there be a upper limit of, say, 8 or 10 games for which you can score points in any given month? (You could play more than that, but only the points for the best 8/10 would count towards the leaderboard.) I wouldn't think that would require too much messing around with the back end. Nobody's going to complain too much since this is all free, but it'd be nice if there was some way for it to be a little fairer to everyone who doesn't live in Weston. And at least there'd be a bit more of a social mix at the finals... Last edited by RevStu : 19th May 2006 at 07:22 PM. |

i think the biggest flaw is in the weighting of the points, more credit should be given to the winner of the big fields.
Only 0.5 of a point player is not enough it should be more like 5 points and the amount of placing point come down. regards |
