    Skill Games are good. people like them because they engage and have a certain degree of thrill. A thrill person gets by winning a skill game is because he knows he is getting better. That is why games like poker and Black jack, which requires people to use skill, (rather than depending on just luck) are extremely popular.

    Totally different target audience too. The skill games market is aimed at bored housewives, most don't actually require any skill either.

    yeah - most dont use skill.. quite a lot - blackjack, "yatzee" type gamesjust use a simple formula and are really still luck based. Now chess with a wager....

    Yeh a lot of companies have tried to bring in chess or chess based online gambling. none with any success yet tho.

    Are you reffering to proven skill games (such as poker) or advertised skill games (like all those games where you have to click on a certain object faster or things like that)? Because the latter are a complete scam and don't have anything to do with actuall skills. Like Drunmenmonk wrote - they are mostly aimed at bored housewives that are relativley easy targets because they are used to believe everything that comes in the form of advertising or promotional publication...
