I was led to believe that online BlackJack can't be beaten because card counting doesn't work in this case; there is an infinite number of cards and they are drawn completely at random (supposedly).

Is you know about probability? If you follow mathematical plus statistical (probability) formulas you can win in black jack. It’s difficult to win but not impossible. So keep trying. ….

In Blackjack you have to count so many cards and memorize them with a mathematical term. So it will be hard for everyone who are gambler. You may lose one after another if you had no idea of mathematical memorizing phenomena.
