The seals are issued on a monthly basis after Independent auditors review the payout percentages from the previous month. For example, the microgaming casinos used to use PriceWaterCooper to check the data logs, so I researched PwC and they are a huge company formed in 1998 from a merger between Price Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand, both of London. In the United States, it is the third largest privately owned organization, it operates as PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. In 2007 worldwide revenues were around $25 billion US. They employ over 146,000 people in aprox. 150 countries. PricewaterhouseCoopers is a Big Four auditor. ( Big Four are the four largest international accountancy and professional services firms, which handle the vast majority of audits for publicly traded companies and many private companies.) Recently many Microgaming casinos switched eCogra, eCogra is non-profit. "All testing and monitoring is in the hands of a dedicated team of professionals with extensive Big Four audit firm and online gambling experience." for the Real time Gaming Casinos I promote they use Technical Systems Testing (TST) to test their the Random Number Generator (RNG) algorithm. TST just happens to be the same group that tests my states lottery. The lottery in my state is one of the most successful in the USA and they run it like a tight ship. The Vegas Tech Casinos use independent third party gaming expert, Dr. Eliot Jacobson, Ph.D, I don't know too much about him other than reading his articles. You can google his name. Many of the casinos rely on affiliates to provide them with players and the affiliate community is pretty large. Most affiliates drop rogue casinos almost instantly. Although the seal mostly shows the overall payback percentage it is doubtful a casino would take the risk of fixing the games as word spreads fast. I'm not sure how it works with online casino games, (it would be interesting to set up two computers side by side and have 2 players each play at the same online casino and the same game at the same wager amount and see how they compare) but US state operated land casinos may advertise a 96% payack on a row of slots, when in fact some machines could be set at 95% and some others set at 97%. This practice is typical. Cheers Slotplayer |

The 'best & most honest' casino is a matter or personal opinion. There are 100's of very good and very honest casinos on the internet, but unfortunately there are also 100's of 'rogue' casinos too who tarnish the image of internet casinos as a whole. As SlotsPlayer said, it is mostly down to the responsible affiliates like me, him, this forum, and lots of others, to warn players about the rogues and point them towards only the honest places.
It's difficult to single 1 out as the ultimate best, but for me personally it would be a toss-up between Ladbrokes, 32Red & Intercasino. (Mainly due to their generous monthly bonuses, it has to be said! As for honesty, well definitely any attached to well established UK bookies (Will Hill, Corals, Tote Sport, etc.), ALL MicroGaming, Crypto, and Rival powered casinos. It's when you start looking to other softwares who do not control their licensees (e.g. RTG & Playtech) that you'll start seeing 'rogueness' and need to proceed only with great care. KK

IMHO Playtech software is fair - but many of the casinos who use it are not. Betfair casino uses Chartwell software, widely considered to be fair (and I agree). JackPotJoy uses Gamesys software. I don't know anything about it to be honest, but I do know that JackPotJoy are members of some of the most respected Casino Watchdog sites on the net, for which fairness is a requirement. KK

all of those software engines can be modified.
You need to look at the casino, not at the software they use. |

Lies, they can only work on an SDK, not the engine itself.
This is because the engine they use is regulated, they can only soft mod, not completely modify. The engines are worth thousands if not millions, you would have to buy out Boss Media for example to be able to have access to the Boss Poker software's actual source code. So yes, you have to judge by software and not casino to be fair...

Try casinos that offer you something before you go in like a freeplay to try their casino or casinos that been around for a while, read post and find out which casinos are getting a bad reputation et... I play with sports-1, betphoenix, CRIS and Dublin. Try them out see what they have to offer and ask for all the rules and policies.
