Jazz’s Okur Gone For Postseason
Currently facing a one-game deficit in their series against the Denver Nuggets, the Utah Jazz have lost big man Mehmet Okur for the duration of the playoffs.
Utah will play Game 2 against Denver tonight and is a 7-point road ‘dog with an Over/Under of 212.5.
Already suffering from Achilles tendinitis, Okur suffered a complete left Achilles’ tendon tear in Game 1 on Saturday – a 126-113 loss – and is expected to miss three to six months according to the Salt Lake Tribune.
“I feel bad, really bad, right now,” Okur told the Tribune.
“We proved this season that when we are healthy we can beat anybody. You can say that injuries are a part of the game, but I can’t digest that right now.”
The Jazz are 3-6 straight up and 0-7-2 against the spread in their last nine overall games against the Nuggets.
