Hi guys,
I'm a new member here on Gambling.co.uk. I have stumbled across this forum in search of some advice.
I placed a bet midweek on Man U to beat boro, on a draw no bet basis. I got 4/1 odds, which ofcourse is not right.
Coral have contacted me an hour before the start and said the odds have changed to 1/7. Obviously my bet was huge, and i'm not prepared to bet on the "new" odds. Then they stated I can void my bet if I want. If I wasn't online before the game, then I would never have known :S
The gambling commision was closed for the bank holiday, so I cant seek legal advice. I went to see my local bookmaker and good friend, and he told me its possible they could pay out if it was approached in the right way.
I will contact the gambling commision on Tuesday, but untill then has anyone got any useful info?
Thx,
Stewy
Bookies have in their T's and C's something called 'palpable error' which gives them the right to cancel bets they deem to be offered at 'clearly' the wrong odds.
Wrong odds are being offered 4-1 about a 1/7 chance.
I have backed teams at 2.30 that are 2.02 best elsewhere and had this rule invoked on me.
There isn't much you can do about it unfortunately.
