Ray Betts offer

Some bloke called Ray Betts (ha) somehow managed to get hold of my mobile number and offered me two free bets, as an indicator of the quality of his betting subscription service.

Now, I'm old and wise and seen plenty of scams and get rich schemes....his first bet won at 7/4 (in from 11/4) and his second bet came second (lost!) at 5/2 (in from 3/1). I didn't put a penny on either of them.

I'm not tempted to take up his subscription offer (unless it's ridiculously cheap) but I just wondered if anybody had ever heard of 'Ray Betts'.

I've just received a text from Ray Betts prompting me to call his freephone number to receive 2 free bets to prove himself as a quality service. The first bet is tonight at a short price and I will get another one tomorrow morning, only if this one wins I'm guessing!!

Never heard of the bloke before and have no idea how he got my mobile number. Just googled his name and this post popped up so thought I would add to it.

Anyone else heard from him??

He advised me to have a couple of hundred quid on it and that I should make at least a £1000 from his tips.............!*!

Just going to watch them and I'll post the results of the tips.............................

I Too Was Texted By The Mysterious Mr Betts. He Gave Me Two Winning Tips, One I Did Do. Then He Asked Me To Join His Club. I Gave Him A Small Deposit From The Winnings. The Next Tip Ran A Stinker, It Drifted Out From 15/8 To 4/1 Sp, Does That Tell Its Own Story I Wonder. Am Waiting To Hear Of The Next Realy Special Touch! Im Sooo Sceptical But We All Live In Hope?

strange that im not getting the short priced one tonight, maybe as a member i dont qualify! im heading to the direction the guys just after a quick buck?

It didn't win!!!

It was a 6 horse race and I'm guessing that he advised 1 of each of the horses to at least 6 different people, then he would have a result with 1 of them and he could then tip just them tomorrow.

Maybe I'm wrong, its just a thought.

I will await to see if he contacts me tomorrow..........................

i,m glad mr betts didnt give his esteemed members a losing 4/6 bet in a 6 runner field, the more i here the more im thinking to stay well clear of him. anyone else been texted by him?

I can asssure everyone that this is a scam. I have been receiving these same messages for 2 or 3 months. I got a little hooked 1st time when the horse 1 at 6-1 in a 6 runner race.The guy phoned me on the sat morning telling that a football match had been rigged and will be a draw. He sounded so convincing, however the home team were 4 nil up at half time. I suspected some scam. I then received another a few weeks ago and phoned 4 times with different names etc and got my mates to phone. They were giving 2 different horses running in Ireland. one being 5-4 the other 13/8 so you can see not rocket science. They even give you a pin number. I caught them out big time and all numbers were quickly out of service. Also received The Ray Betts scam so guess some poor so and sos were given the 10-1 winner and now mite get roped in. These people are totally thick and lets all wind them up with giving mickey mouse numbers and names when you phone. I guess they will also read these forums so i promise you that you will be found as i have a private eye on your case as i speak.
