Houston Texans (2-1) @ Atlanta Falcons (0-3)
4/10 on Atlanta +2.5 2/10 on Atlanta ML Texans QB Matt Schaub may be pumped up facing the team which traded him (Atlanta surely regret him, with all the Michael Vick story), however, Schaub is lacking targets now. Top WR Andre Johnson and rookie Jacoby Jones are out for the game. Running game will also be an issue, with Ahman Green questionable and Ron Dayne day-to-day with bruised ribs. Falcons scored just 30 points in their three games, but QB Joey Harrington and his offense had encouraging displays. Harrington threw for 361 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions last week. He was also only sacked once after he was sacked 13 times in the first two games, results that drew criticism from coach Bobby Petrino. Well, the Falcons should win a game in the end and today they might just pull it. Especially that they could miss DeAngelo Hall, responsable for 67 penalty yards last Sunday. Prediction Houston 20 - Atlanta 24 NY Jets (1-2) @ Buffallo Bills (0-3) 8/10 on Jets -3.5 Tricky line, maybe it is wiser to stick to a -3. Still, this game may just be a comfortable Jets win. Bills defence is banged up. Bills are 32nd in total offence and 32nd on total defence. QB Chad Pennington and the RBs (Thomas Jones & Leon Washington dynamic duo) will move the ball at will. QB J.P. Losman is out for the Bills and rookie Trent Edards will start and this actually is a plus for the Bills. Jets offense is still struggling, but Eric Mangini is a genius coach, hețll improve things Prediction Jets 27 - Bills 13 Pittsburgh Steelers (3-0) @ Arizona Cardinals (1-2) 5/10 on Cardinals +6 3/10 on Cardinals ML I see the upset of the week here. Cardinals boast a decent defense (12th vs. run, 15th vs. pass) and have ex-Steelers coaches Ken Whisenhunt and Russ Grimm on their sideline. Cardinals kept close in each and every game (they are 3-0 ATS) and even though QB Matt Leinart will probably have once more a tough time against Steelers excellent defence, (current) backup Kurt Warner showed he is extremely reliable. Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger has an excellent start of the season. Still I think he could struggle here. He had problems finding the end-zone last week and now his favourite target, Hines Ward is out. Steelers could win with their defense unit, but I am confident Cardinals coaches know a hole or two there. Prediction Steelers 19 - Cardinals 21 Another two plays for me are Chicago Bears -2.5 and Packers -1 |
