once again england go 1-0 up and the midfield disappears up their own arse, when is sven gonna realise we aint italians and cant defend for 45 minutes, luckily we were only playing one of the weaker teams that we held on, the tactics after half time were awful, taking owen off and pushing joe cole forward with downing replacing him is feasable but to then take cole off for hargreaves is pointless, why leave on crouch as a target man if theres noone up with him to collect the flick ons??why push gerrard forward into the position cole had? why take walcott instead of defoe then use 2 other players in his position and leave him on the bench?

one of the worst 2nd half performances i've seen and thankfully i dont have a penny on them to win it cos after seeing that i doubt they'll get past the 1/4 finals without a big improvement!!

Quite agree that we dont look like world cup winning material going by that game. But none the less a win is a win and we are on our way.

We can only improve on that performance and here's looking to another win on thursday, which should put us into the round 2.

I just hope that Sven doesnt become defensive after we score opening goal. every tournament. Why take Jenas when D.Bent is a far better player
