the horse prowler was on about came in the top 4,a big race handicap you normally at least get paid first 3 ok,oh and its normally quarter the odds on a place in them big races

Claymore was 5th out of 15. The horse had been lightly run prior to this race, and given its generous weight, i'm sure the owners would be dissapointed.
As far as place terms go:
1 - 4 runners = no place
5 - 8 runners = 1 place
9 - 15 runners = 2 places
16+ runners in a handicap = 3 places
16+ runners in a non hc race = 2 places
Nice to see the only 2 English horse Pulled Up!!

claymore was sitting in a nice position, 2nd , and looked like he had a good chance a few out but never seemed to kick on, the ground was very fast and apparently the trainer wasnt too pleased with the way it turned out but made no excuses
oh and the reason they only paid 3 places was because there were 3 non runners bringing the field down to 15
