Matt Fargo's Free Pick
Sacramento vs. Utah, Take Utah Jazz

Utah snapped a three-game losing streak on Wednesday with a big win over Denver and hopes to carry that momentum into a home and home set with the struggling and revamped Kings. After winning eight of nine games, the Jazz were poised to make some noise and actually took the lead in the Northwest Division but Denver has taken that over during the recent Jazz skid. Utah is only two games back however and this starts a stretch of five straight games against losing teams.

Sacramento did some player moving and it has not paid dividends yet. The Kings are 1-2 since their trade with Indiana, losing both games on the road. They are just 6-15 away from home this season and have dropped six of their last seven. The big problem for Sacramento is its defense and the acquisition of Ron Artest should help but one player cannot make the difference. The Kings are allowing 46 percent shooting on the road and 45.2 percent over their last five games.

Sacramento, already at a huge disadvantage down low, will be without Brad Miller who has an injured thumb. The Kings are -2.9 in rebounding margin this season and are forced to start forward Shareef Abdur-Rahim at center. The Jazz are tough down low with a +4.8 rebounding margin and are coming off a 40-23 edge over Denver in their last game. They outscored the Nuggets 40-28 in the paint and will dominate the interior once again. Utah played inspired in that game and will do so again.

The Jazz were avenging a 30-point loss to the Nuggets last time out and find themselves in another revenge situation on Friday after losing at Sacramento by 36 points earlier in the season. Play any team revenging a road blowout loss against opponent of 20 points or more, a marginal losing team that is winning between 40% and 49% of its games, playing a losing team. This situation is 30-8 ATS (78.9 percent) since 1996 with the average point differential +8.3 ppg. Play Utah Jazz One Unit
