BB betting is really an event where the market does rule. I used to work for a betting exchange, and 3 years ago there was a "next eviction" market set-up. During the evening there was a massive punt on a "surprise" contestant to leave. All the opinions were that this person didn't have a chance of being evicted.

The eviction came and went, and surprise surprise, this contestant was evicted.

At the time there was an outrage amongst the layers that someone had inside info. The TV channel denied that its employee's had this information. It was basically brushed under the carpet.

Part of my job was to settle the markets (ie, payout the winners). To have a betting account, you needed a valid email address.

What never came out was that when this market was settled, the majority of the winners had email addresses along the lines of:

    tom_smith@channel4.com

    Fantastic stuff, lol
