Cleveland vs. Los Angeles, Take Los Angeles Lakers

Put us down on the Los Angeles Lakers -2.5 for our Free NBA Selection on Thursday. Today the Cleveland Cavaliers will take on the Lakers in Los Angeles at which we will side with the Lakers. The Lakers are coming off a road loss to the Portland Trail Blazers last night, but should bounce back with a win tonight. The Lakers will be playing a Cavaliers team that has been struggling as of late, and you can expect the same struggling Cavaliers team tonight. Talking about struggling, the Cavaliers are shooting only 41.9% from the floor in their last five games. It's clear the injury to Larry Hughes has hurt the Cavaliers offense. They may still have LeBron James, but we all know that you need more then one strong player to win a basketball game. Adding to the problem, the Cavaliers defense has been horrible (especially on the road). On the road, the Cavaliers are allowing an average of 102.4 points per game. Additionally, the Cavaliers are 1-4 on the road when playing western conference opponents. The home team is 6-1 in the last seven meetings between these two teams, and we see that trend continuing tonight. Lay the small number! Take the Lakers!

DePaul vs. Pittsburgh, Take DePaul Blue Demons

TOO many points to give to this underrated Blue Demon team that has played well against a MUCH tougher schedule than the undefeated Pitt Panthers. De Paul is 3-3 SU & ATS traveling with nice wins at Dayton, Wake, and Cal while losing to N Ill, Old Dom, and Cincinnati. The Demons are 7-2 ATS TY against winning records, 27-12 L39 as dog (6-3 TY) and 18-7 ATS off last 25 conf wins. After 10 straight cream puffs, Pitt has nice wins over S Caro, Wisc, and in 2OTs Notre Dame. Pitt just 2-7 as HF of 9-12 and 0-3 ATS TY after allowing 80+ points. Even without starting big man Wesley Green, Demons figure to be in this start to finish. Grab De Paul with the 11.5!
