I am not surprised coin acceptance is poor. It usually is 9 times out of ten with this type of mech.!

John, do you know how I should setbthe coin acceptor? (SR5) because of this rotary switch on the back. And do I have
Comfigure the MoU5 as well? It should be able to accept 3 different types of euro-coins. But how do I enable this?

    Thanks again

The rotary switch is used to accept different types of tokens. If you want to use a different coin set i.e. Euros, the mech. needs to be connected to a special programmer. It has no user adjustments at all. It will be programmed for the UK coin set only.

    Unhappy

Hi Johnny, all the best for 2012. The mech is already programmed to Euro's (50ct coins) and worked before but not anymore.
The problem I had with the demo mode was caused by a loose cable (the orange one on the picture was not connected correctly
to the plug). But again, now the coinacceptor does not accept anything anymore however it is programmed to EU's.

As I have said before those money/coin controls are about the worst type of coin slots you can get for coin acceptance. Is it a UK coin set you wish to use or a Euro coin set? It will only be set for one coin set or the other.

    Question

    Hi Johnny,

Thanks, yes it's an european coinmech and is already set to 0,50€ (1 coin) and this worked before. But now it just dropps all coins to the fronttray.
There are 2 connectors connected to the back of the coinmech. I labled (in the manual) as parralel and the sorter override (both most left connectors in the attachment). There is also a status-led on the mech that is green and the rotaryswitch is set to 1.

Maybe I have to call a local (eur) expert who can help me?

Rotary switch only used to select tokens. I would suggest you have a faulty mech.

    Question

I can imagine that because it is an UK machine that the coinmech is set to 'tokens' and that the 50ct eurocoin is been taken as a token?

So maybe my question does need to be is that how I set the MPU5 to accept tokens or can you only control this on the coinmech?
