Over the recent year it's become quite clear that Ebay has been getting more rubbish, faster than an any time it the past. And particularly for fruit machine listings.
They have taken to removing random fruit machine listings based on fairly vague rules based on their flawed understanding of the law, leading to many listings being fairly light on actual description, and heavy on disclaimers and waffle about how the payouts have been disconnected, you buy a lock and get the machine free of charge, the machine is just an ornament, is chock-full of rabid gerbils, currently on fire, etc.
Add to this the fact that for private sellers the final value fee is now a massive 10% of sale price, I decided that an alternative venue for on-line amusement auctions was fairly desperately needed.
To this end I have set up Fruit-Machine-Sales - a dedicated, easy to use, sensibly priced auction site for selling all amusement and coin-operated equipment and related items - and run by an enthusiast with experience within the industry.
It's early days at the moment, and as yet nothing is set in stone - we are quite happy to listen to users suggestions and incorporate or change as necessary.
There is a dedicated forum for you to discuss anything related to the site or provide us with (hopefully constructive!) criticism -
