fruit machine error

hi all

i have a CMS 8 liner S165 Bars Galore. when i power the machine up it is coming up with a RNG Fault on the main screen.

Any adive on what could be wrong and advice on how to put it right

The random number generator (RNG) may be either faulty or more than likely not plugged in properly. The RNG on this type of machine used to have to be mounted outside the main machine cabinet to comply with s16 requirements.

firstly what does the RNG look like and where will i purchase a new one.

It looks like a little square black box. It connects to the main machine via a single cable. I will try to post a picture of a RNG.

I had one of these and I scrapped it due to an apparently unsolvable note-acceptor problem.
However I still have the RNG, if you are interested send me a message.
