My mate does. You first have to obtain an operators licence from the Gambling Commission. Not cheap. In the region of £3k per year.

from what iv research there are alot of terms and conditions to renting the machines. you are very limited to what repairs you can do which means that a machine would have to be turned off until one of there own engineers can see to it which could cost you customer if there engineers are slow. its a cheaper way of setting up but comes with alot of terms and conditions.

sasrob, I sent you a PM, did you see it? Was it interesting?

The other thing about renting machines is that some suppliers are surprisingly picky about to who and for where they will rent the newest / best performing / most expensive machines

Wow 3K and then I suppose there's the costs of licensing the machines and the establishments they are going to be used on.
Well with that amount of set-up there goes my idea for renting the machines to local golf clubs in my area, guess I will have to put it on hold for a while.

I'd start an online casino with that amount, if I were you.

An Online casino also requires a Gambling Commission licence!

kebab shop and chippys are now banned for holding AWP's, thats why they have skill machines and those boxer machines. The government thought they were ideal sights for illegal operators!!! they didn't exactly say that, but thats what it was all over.

look into getting skill machines, like skill poker and roulette. also boxer machines, less cost on license, also raw profit, apart from the odd mechanical repair.

I'm not sure on the license for SWP, sure Johnny will give you more info on this, but I don't think they are anywhere near as high as having AWP £70 out there. Their license is £700+ per machine, per year!!! a lot of money for a machine to take before your in profit!!

These figures are a rough guess, from what I can remember.

    So £3000 operators license, + x10 machines (£7000) = £10000
Machines on say a good payout rate at 86% = £1400 per £10000 played through the machine
Thats some £70000+ of machine play just to break even, some £1400 per week.

I'll stop going on now, its pricy!!

What kinda stuff you got in your arcade Johnny?

yes just replied mate. i don't look in my inbox much lol. I would most likely invest in arcade all ready set up tbh to gain experience. my view is give customers good odds on all machines and they will be back.
