How do slot programs think and perform

1. Progressive table tracking

Most online slot machines will have an accumulator somewhere else on the screen, known as a progressive slot. Normally a progressive jackpot will tell you what it can pay out til, therefore if it says up to $8000, and the table is telling you $7657, then you know you are closer, if it is at around $356, then you should'nt bother.

This is great when considering when and when not to play a certain progressive slot machine. There are other table observations, does the value increase a lot, or is it staying the same, this can indicate stalling of the program. Only, and if only the progressive slot is rising quickly and near the top, should you even consider playing on it.

2. Patterns in winning and losing functions

If you are talking about online slots and the style of slots that you get in casinos/vegas then I think your assumptions are incorrect.

A low progressive value simply means it has been triggered more recently than one with a higher value. This does not detract from the fact that you have exactly the same chance of winning it every game as these are random

The code will simply pick a random number, usually generated extrnally fom the game itself and give a win based on that number. If the progressive is paid when the number is 12345 from a range of numbers 1 to 100000 then every game you wave a 1 in 100000 chance of getting that number and the progressive.

Your interaction before, during or after is irrelevant, except that the number the games gets will depend upon the exactly millisecond you start the game sequence.
