Newbie please help barrel/cam lock slipped on fruit machine advice needed asap

Bought a machine off Ebay last night guy delivererd gave me a very quick run down on where the hopper was etc, Having not owned a machine before I thought I would familarise myself with the locks etc. Bottom overload door opened fine but front opening lock would not open. But guy demonstated it open so I know it did. I took the key out of the barrel lock and the pin must have slipped as now the little slot does not match up to the key and I cannot get the key in.

Is there a way round getting in from the door underneath to unlock it I poked my head through and can see the reel from inside and can just about feel the lock well I think it is. How can I get the lock open there must be a way. Freaking out as with a door handle there is no screws so I can remove the lock. The guy that I bought off said if I needed repairs doing just to phone him, However his phone is not answering can anyone save my bacon please.

I have posted this question on another forum though it is not very busy at all, moderator there says to file the nipple off the key will this work???

u can drill the lock out if it is broke using a metal drill bit i just done it on mine last night also on the front open cabinets there is a lever u move from side to side if u lock is broke in open u may be able to open it m8
