I'd point it more to less free time on hands, rising bills, possibility of online gambling and also what Kasino King said that its too expensive. Ah, and of course the computer/technology debate. Everyone is become more lazy![]()

the only way to get players back is to let them win. give higher odds on all machines and player will come back. iv seen some arcades give 96%RTP on the other hand iv seen 76%. plus the b3 programming don't help any arcade. to allow 5 bonus sign to appear and only pay out poor cash really do put people off as 5 bonus signs are very rare. most online slots give 94%-97%RTP range plus alot bigger stake £400 ago not that many can play that. i do believe section 16 machines would beat online & FOB odds and may well give the advantage to arcades.
Since this thread was posted in 2010 things have got even WORSE. Arcades are closing down on a weekly basis. You just have to look at E Bay to see the number of arcades selling up the entire stock as a one off purchase. The thing is with the current lack of customers in nearly ALL arcades, who is going to be intertested in buying this stuff?

I preferred the old £25 / £35 machines - they were fairer and a lot of the time provided the player with a sort-of fun, fair and lasting game that you don't really get a lot of with the £70's...u don't see many complete novices in arcades now...only the players on the £70s, someone losing their arse on a £500 and OAPs and unemployed addicts on the little £5 games. I rarely see a £25 or £35 in pubs and arcades here...the arcades have gone £70 mad without thinking that higher prizes = higher price to play that people don't have in the first place, or they don't want to cane a £20 in 2 mins.
I can see a mass funeral for amusement arcades not too far off! U either win £140 mega streaks or u leave thinking about how much the machines pickpocketed u so quickly...RIP arcades![]()

i agree with kk people have nt got the money they use to and the machine s themselves have been getting more and more greedy to the point where they are not enjoyable to play . also my personal thoughts about modern machines is that they are now too technical for their own good - keep it simple with straight forward gambling and not too many decisions to make on features . lets have more ten and twenty pence machines available to play in all arcades and not just in seaside arcades after all a small profit is better than no profit at all !
There used to be a little arcade near us a few years ago but they closed, It was so busy at one time![]()
If you have the opportunity to play this game of life you need to appreciate every moment. a lot of people don't appreciate the moment until it's passed.
