Its true and i agree with what you are saying, punters waste alot of money in the FOBT machines in Bookies and thats why bookies have longer opening hours.

I would like to see if these machines adjust to the punters play?

I worked for Corals for 9 months before i was robbed at gunpoint in one of there shops that didnt have security, no screens mag locks cctv or panic alarms. Hence the name.

A guy used to go in regular and could put either 100's in the roulette machine or a few quid, his spins where from a £1 but not more than that, he used to go mad because if he took a chip off and had a spin the machine would spin in the number he took off or next door. This did not happen all the time but I would say it's a common thing.

Not at all times. Think of the advantage of playing slots machines. We benefit from those payout options that are available at slot machines. Of course this is not the case with all of them, but if you choose the right one you are giving yourself the chance to walk home with big time money. And even the slot machines that do not have the highest payouts still offer pots that are nothing to laugh at.

In which case I would think you are wasting your time.
ALL casino games are made to "grab your money"; why do you think casinos exist - to give it away?
Just that some games take it quicker than others, but like bbonline said, slots can also give it back very quickly!

There are plenty of people around who make money playing fruit machines, legally and legitimately (ie without using criminal "tooling" techniques.
But of course they make this money at the expense of the average punter, who regularly put in more than they get out.
I suppose I take the view that slots are never a waste of time and money as long as you treat them as intended - you are paying money for amusement, with the added possibility of the thrill of a larger win.
Having said that a quid a spin is not my idea of fun. You don't get much amusement or value for money at that price, and I certainly wouldn't put a single coin in a modern machine...
