They will either have to be extremely protective of the DOND feature, wipe out the streak and the JP in the first round, or fix the offers to the £7-£8 mark to make people play on and let the machine build up a pot for its streak, otherwise streaks will cease to exist

Who gives a f**k about DOND, no professional player plays DOND apart from WIYB or Deal Wheel and even then it's not a force for a streak but a manipulator so it doesn't make any difference when people take mid value wins.

Nail hit squarely on the head. i am an ex player, not been int he game seriously since emptying ace machines for fun in the early-mid 90s, then the donkey kong emptier and just playing barclones for profit in the Arabian Knights days.

Would love to have more info but obviously people are reluctant to share and my old contacts are lost

Well I think it's just getting ridiculous.
Playing at 50p eats your money quick enough & I've had to feed £100+ into a machine several times to get them to pop - at £1 a spin I guess than means I'd have to shove £200+ in... for a £70 JP machine.
With the recession & everything I can't see many 'regular punters' playing them, unless they do also have a 30p/50p option like Gary said.

    Time will tell I suppose...

As far as I know the options will be 50p / £1 but it may vary from machine to machine.

I see what you are saying about 'average joe' not wanting to play them on £1 per spin.

However, you can rest assured that both the manufacturers and the gaming board will have done comprehensive customer research.

i sometimes chuck my beer change into the bandit on the way to the itbox.

there is no way in hell I am paying a pound a spin; i don't even play 50p

to be honest i prefer 10p a spin. the only people who will play these things are addicts and 'pros'

    CAN SOMEONE TELL ME THIS:

Are the pots separate for each stake? i.e. if someone gets a £70 on £1 spin will that kill it for 30p or 50p players

The answer is 'generally no' there aren't seperate pots and if someone gets £70 it will kill it for any stake. However on some machines/versions you can take JP/Streak or value from playing different stakes. Early Cash Attacks had 2 seperate pots and you could take MS from both 30p and 50p play in quick succession if you knew what you were doing. There are others as well.

Once that critcal error message came up they just got removed, or at least that was the case round here, still had one till very recently that was good for both sides and was a decent earner.
