hi, i'm new here, and have just invested in a refill key. I tried it in two machines, but can't find anywhere what the info means. I first tried it in monopoly road to riches (mazooma) which told me "refill coins. Refill 1pd * 192", and also tried it in jackpots that rock and roll (games media) which told me "refill £1 x 0". is there anyone who might be able to help me decipher what this info means please?! (i'm guessing the monopoly isn't ready to play as i took £50 out of it yesterday) ↲thanks
Am sure the lads might know better but from the sounds of it it means one of 2 things. Either the one machine was 192 from full, needing 192 coins to rebalance, the other zero, or that the machine was recently refilled with 192 coins the other zero. Any other suggestions guys?
The device you bought is called a Refill key. So what do you think it's proper use is for??
Well the answer is to Refill a fruit machine without having to open it up.
So if you entered the key into a machine and the machine was telling you Refill = £192 then it's asking for £192 coins to refill it.
Honestly why buy something that you haven't the 1st clue what it does??

TBH Sludge, refill keys do not have the uses they had a few years back. In an age where perfect digital copies could be cut, too many people had 'em, causing suspicion and arguements. Leisurelink et al usually set the machine to display refill info ONLY and nothing else (usually by changing a dip switch in the back). The full menu would only be displayed with the cash door open.
Old Barcrests amongst others could be keyed to see what the hopper balance was, giving a player a small edge since he didnt have to do his bollocks in to find a machine was empty (not that any player worth his salt couldnt see the signs!). All that is over now, but good luck anyway!
C'mon Gambogaz, we were all young and stupid once.
Harsh I might have been, but with all the tooling going on in this day & age the last thing we need is some young lad shoving a key in a machine for no reason whatsoever because he doesn't know what he's looking for.

or maybe even a young lad in his own premises, keying a rented machine out of business hours?
